This Policy applies only to the user information and data collected and stored by vivo Health. Before enabling the vivo Health service, please carefully read, understand, and agree to the Health Privacy Policy.
In this Privacy Policy, you will learn how vivo collects, uses, discloses, processes, and protects the information you provide us with during the use of products which are connected to Health (including smart devices and smart wearable devices; hereinafter collectively referred to as "Devices") as well as the vivo Health app and relevant services (hereinafter referred to as "the Software" or "this Service").
If you need to use any third-party service, the data collected by such service will be sent to the third party, where the vivo Privacy Policy does not apply. Please carefully read the privacy policy of the third-party service, if any.
To use the features of this Service, you may need to enable some permissions, including access to the network, location, Bluetooth, storage, phone, contacts, and SMS messages. Please carefully read this Privacy Policy for more details. Please grant the permissions depending on which functions you use.
By using any device connected to Health and enabling this Service, you have read, agreed to, and accepted all the terms in this Privacy Policy. We shall use and protect your information based on necessity and to ensure the efficiency of providing this Service in strict accordance with the requirements of this Privacy Policy.
Note: The features may vary depending on the system version of your device. For services listed below, some functions may be temporarily unavailable on specific device models. All rules including those regarding information collection and usage are only applicable to the specific service functions provided to you. For example, if the skin type function is not available for the system version of your device, we will not collect or use information and data related to this function.
(1) Why vivo collects your information and data
We may collect some information and basic usage data from your device in order to implement the basic features of this Service as well as investigate and analyze any issues to keep improving our service quality so that we can help you manage your life and work in an easier and more efficient way and enhance your experience. We shall collect such information and data in accordance with the requirements of national laws and regulations as well as government authorities.
(2) What data and information vivo will process
① Personal profile information: This Service can be accessed with a vivo account. When you sign in to this Service with your vivo account, we may collect and use such data as your vivo account (which may include your phone number associated with your account), profile picture, nickname, time zone, language, and region, so that such information can be displayed synchronously and stored to the cloud after being edited. When you use certain features of this Service, we may obtain your account sign-in status to determine your access to such features.
② Personal body data: After enabling vivo Health, you can provide your date of birth, height, weight, gender, and other data to facilitate the analysis of your physical condition and the calibration of your health data for your reference.
③ Data recorded on the device: When you enable vivo Health and use a device connected to Health, we will sync the exercise data, sensor data and health data recorded on your device, including steps, exercise duration, distance, exercise routes, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, to provide and display analysis results such as the weekly activity summary or exercise goal records on the pages of this Service.
④ Location data:When you use location-based services, such as tracking and displaying daily exercise data (walking, running, cycling, etc.) as well as exercise routes, or using map navigation, we may collect your location information and request you to enable the Location permission. Your step count may be visible to people in a particular region if you participate in step rankings. hen you start an outdoor exercise such as running or cycling, we need to access your precise location in order to display your exercise routes and generate an exercise video based on the routes for sharing.
⑤ Device information: When you use vivo Health, we need to obtain your device identifiers (including the IMEI, IMSI, VAID, OAID, EID, eUICC, Wi-Fi MAC address, serial number, Android ID, GUID, and aaid), device model, device settings, IP address, OS version, and app list in order to establish a Bluetooth connection with your smart wearable device, verify the security, manage device configurations, complete system software upgrades, display data sources, provide logs, and track the device's activation status.
⑥ Received notifications: When you connect your smart wearable device and enable notifications on your watch, we will obtain the relevant data in the notification bar such as incoming calls, SMS messages, notifications, and other messages, so we need to obtain the read notifications and Bluetooth permissions in order to push the content in the notification bar of your phone to the smart wearable device you have connected via Bluetooth. All relevant operations are performed on your local device for the purpose of providing the notification function you need only. The information will not be stored, modified, uploaded, or used for other purposes.
⑦ Music management information: When you connect to a smart wearable device via Bluetooth and use the music management function, you can choose to sync unencrypted audio information (such as song titles and artist names) on your phone to the connected device so that such information and the music can be displayed, stored, and played on the device. vivo will not store such information.
⑧ Emergency status: When you enable emergency SOS and fall detection, a fall alert will be automatically sent to the Health app on your phone via Bluetooth (you can also choose to manually send emergency alerts). The Health app will then use the SMS permission of your device. If the conditions are met, an SMS message will be sent to a preset emergency contact at the scheduled time. The relevant information is only used for the services you need, and will not be uploaded or stored by vivo.
⑨ Voice Assistant data: When you connect a supported smart wearable device with the Health app, you can choose to use Voice Assistant if available. We may recognize and analyze the voice data during your use to understand your voice commands and display the results of speech recognition. If you enable contacts search with voice commands, the voice data may include your contacts data.
⑩ NFC-related information: If you enable NFC on your watch, you need to upload your device's serial number and UFS ID or eMMC ID for statistical purposes, and provide your phone number for authentication during card activation. In addition, if your watch can be used as an access card and transport card, access to information about such features is required during card activation (for example, your phone number is required to activate a transport card). Such information will be directly provided to the card issuer or its authorized service provider with your express authorization. For details about the service content and information collection, please refer to the agreement provided by the relevant card issuer during card activation.
⑪ Facial images: If you choose to use the skin type function (subject to device compatibility), you need to upload your facial image once (such data will only be collected when you request to use the function and be used only to realize the skin inspection service you need) for us to identify and analyze your skin condition and to provide the skin inspection score and report for your reference.
⑫ Log information: We may collect the log information and usage data generated during your use of this Service or the usage information, feedback, and error messages you choose to submit.
⑬ Network usage information: We may collect information such as the type and signal of the network your device is connected to (including Wi-Fi and mobile network information) so as to determine your network status and to provide services for you accordingly.
⑭ Clipboard content: When you copy and paste information in this Service, your clipboard will be accessed. The clipboard content will only be identified locally and will not be uploaded to our server.
⑮ Information submitted by you: When you give express authorization to add the following kits, we may collect the data you choose to upload in this Service. For example, you can sync the history from Jovi Health under your vivo account in this Service. We may also ask you to provide your contact information when you request vivo to contact you.
● Check-in kit: You can set your check-in goals relating to drinking water, exercising, and going to bed early, so that you can view and monitor your recorded behaviors. Such data will only be stored locally.
● Medication check-in kit: You can set the medication check-in content (name of the medicine, and how often, how much, and for how long the medicine should be taken), and keep an accurate record of medications (name of the medicine, and how often and how much medicine was taken). Such data will only be stored locally.
● Menstrual period kit: This kit records the menstrual data you enter. Such data will only be stored locally.
● Noise kit: This kit records the noise detection history, including the place of detection and decibel value. Such data will only be stored locally.
● Sleeping kit: This kit records your sleep duration (including the duration of different sleep stages such as deep sleep, light sleep, and sleep apnea) to reflect your sleep quality. You can also choose whether to record your snoring, which will only be stored locally. Your sleep report will be uploaded to and stored on the sever for your reference after you sign in to your account.
● Blood pressure kit: This kit records the blood pressure data you enter through a smart wearable device. Such data will only be stored locally.
● Medical ID: You can choose to enter you name, gender, date of birth, blood type, weight, height, medical conditions, medical notes, allergies, medications, and the name and phone number of emergency contacts. Such data will only be stored locally.
● Care kit: You can establish a sharing relationship by adding the other's vivo account or Xiaotiancai app account. After that, you can view the health data shared by the other, and use the personal information of the account to generate an avatar. This allows you to care for the health of your family and friends at all times. After you adding family and friends, you can choose data to share with them, including steps, calories, exercise records, stress, heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, body temperature and other information.
Among the aforementioned information, data about your physical health and exercise routes is sensitive data, which is collected by us for the purpose of providing you with health-related services, analyses, and suggestions only. We will only collect and use such data for these services based on necessity, and will protect such data in strict accordance with relevant laws and regulations. In addition, the data uploaded to the server may be processed to create a persona, which will be further desensitized and de-identified compared with raw data.
(3) How vivo will use your personal information and data
① Creating or signing in to your account: The personal profile information you provide will be used to create your personal account and will be displayed on the pages of this Service. Your edits to your profile can be saved to the cloud.(4) Information vivo may share with third parties
To perform some functions, vivo may share your personal information with third parties. For example, this Service includes a function to track your exercise route, where the map service is provided by the service provider AutoNavi. To implement this function, we need to collect your location information and share it with the map service provider. The skin type functions in this Service are powered by our third-party technology provider. You can add other hardware devices in our app. To enable them to access the network and display their product information, we need to share your device hardware information (including the EID, IMEI, and eUICC) with your carrier. Such information will not be uploaded to or stored on the server. Blood pressure monitoring is supported by OMRON. When you use this feature, OMRON will collect your blood pressure data and the notes you take. Such information will be stored on OMRON's server. For details, please carefully read the specific service rules published by OMRON.
The aforementioned service providers will be required to process your information in accordance with laws and regulations as well as vivo's relevant confidentiality agreement and Privacy Policy. Please rest assured that we will only share data to the minimal extent with encryption and other security measures in place where it is required for providing functions of this Service. We will also protect your personal information in strict accordance with relevant laws and regulations as well as our Privacy Policy.
In addition, we allow data sync or sharing. When you choose to use such features, we need to share with or provide to other subjects the data you choose to share or provide. You can confirm the specific recipient or scope of data on the pages of this Service before authorization.
In addition, vivo may share your personal information that has been desensitized, de-identified, and/or encrypted with specified third parties so they can provide service capabilities, implement necessary functions, or calculate service statistics. vivo promises to share information with specified third parties based on service necessity only, and such information will not be associated with your personal identity.
We will only use your personal information for the purposes and within the scope stipulated in the User Agreement and Privacy Policy. We will never provide, share, rent, or sell your personal information to any irrelevant third party without your prior consent.
Depending on the services, third parties may collect the personal information you directly provide to them, and you can choose to use the services or not at your own discretion. If you choose to use a service provided by a third party, please enter into a service agreement/privacy policy with the third party at your own discretion, and carefully read the corresponding third-party's service agreement/license agreement/privacy policy.
● Third-party SDKs we integrate
When you use third-party services in this Product and your personal information will be collected by relevant third parties, please carefully read the privacy policy or terms of such third parties. We will also restrict or monitor third parties through agreements or other technical means so they can only process your personal information within the scope of authorization and ensure the security of your information.

(5) Information vivo may share with its affiliates
Your information may be shared with vivo's subsidiaries or affiliates. We will share your information which is necessary for providing relevant services only for specific and legal purposes with our subsidiaries or affiliates. For example, to avoid duplicate vivo account registrations, we need to check the uniqueness of the account to be registered; to provide you with consistent services, we will link and share the account information with services that you sign in to with your vivo account; if you authorize the linking of your vivo account with a third-party account, we will share the relevant vivo account information with the third party and obtain the relevant third-party account information (such as account, nickname, profile picture, data synced under the account, etc.) based on your authorization and in compliance with laws and regulations.
(6) Disclosure on legal or other reasonable bases
Generally, personal information should not be disclosed to the public. We may only disclose your personal information in the following circumstances: a) We have informed you of the purposes and types of the information disclosure, and have obtained your express consent; b) It is required by legal procedures or government authorities; c) It is directly related to public security or major public interests; and d) Other circumstances as expressly stipulated by laws and regulations.
(7) Processing of underage data
vivo pays special attention to protecting the privacy of minors and advocates that parents/guardians pay active attention to the activities and hobbies of minors. If you find that the personal data of a minor in your care has been collected without your consent, please contact us to delete it and make sure that the minor unsubscribes from relevant services.
(8) Security of your information and data and measures taken to protect it
To protect the integrity of the network, the vivo IT data network has adopted the following measures (including but not limited to): security checks, encryption tools and software, and other appropriate security measures and procedures. Only network administrators and relevant personnel with a need to use the data have internal access. If vivo learns that the security of the vivo IT data network is compromised or users' information that is not allowed to be disclosed is disclosed to irrelevant third parties due to external actions (including but not limited to external security attacks), notwithstanding other regulations in this Privacy Policy, vivo shall still take any measures they deem as appropriate, including but not limited to internal investigations, reporting to law enforcement agencies, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
For the purpose of protecting the system or services and network security, vivo shall reserve the right to disclose the information contained in the access log of any users, especially when users violate current or future terms of use or other published principles, and when users initiate or participate in (or are reasonably assumed to have initiated or participated in) any illegal activities.
(9) Information and data integrity
vivo processes personal information only for the initial purpose that the information was collected for and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We will supervise and control the process of data collection, storage, and processing, making sure that only personal information that is required for providing or improving services is collected, stored, and processed. We will take appropriate measures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the personal information processed, but this also needs users to update or correct their personal information when necessary.
(10) Data transmission
vivo products and services may be provided from resources and servers in different countries or regions around the world. Therefore, your personal information may be transmitted across borders to a country or region that is different from where you are using our services. Some countries or regions may not have specific laws to protect personal data or may be subject to different data protection laws. Under such circumstances, vivo will implement measures to ensure that the data transmission is legally permitted and that your personal data is properly protected in accordance with the applicable laws. For example, through standard agreements approved by related authorities (if necessary) and through the use of other suitable technological or organizational information security measures. For users in the Chinese mainland, your personal information will be stored within the Chinese mainland.
(11) Data retention
We shall retain your personal information for the purposes it was collected for, or in compliance with applicable laws. We will only store your personal information for the minimum period as required for the purposes outlined in this Policy and as stipulated by laws and regulations. After the purpose for collecting your personal information has been achieved, we will stop retaining related data, or desensitize, de-identify, or anonymize such information. For example, if you have not uploaded any health data in five (5) years under your account, we will clear your health data from the cloud.
(12) Managing personal information
① Query, modification, and deletion
You can view and modify the information and records you configure in the history of the corresponding feature pages.
Check-in kit: Tap the non-check-in area of the check-in kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Check-in history to open the check-in history page.
Medication check-in kit: Tap the non-check-in area of the medication check-in kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Medication history to open the medication history page.
Menstrual period kit: Tap the menstrual period kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Menstrual period to open the menstrual period details page.
You can view and modify the information and records you configure in the history of the corresponding feature pages.
Noise kit: Tap the non-detection area of the noise kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Noise to open the noise detection history page.
Sleeping kit: Tap the sleeping status of the sleeping kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Sleeping to open the sleeping details page.
OMRON blood pressure kit: Tap the blood pressure kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Blood pressure to open the OMRON blood pressure list page.
Blood pressure kit: Tap the blood pressure kit, or tap the Health app and go to Local > Health data > Blood pressure to open the blood pressure details page.
Medical ID: Tap the Health app and go to Local > Medical ID card to open the medical ID page.
You can call our customer service line or visit vivo.com to contact us via our online service agents to submit a request to query, modify, or delete your personal information. In order to better protect your personal information, we may verify your identity before accepting your request to ensure that the request is made by the subject of the personal information or their authorized representative. Please make sure that your request is specific and actionable. We will try our best to carry out accepted requests within 15 workdays or within the limit specified by laws and regulations.
You can tap your profile picture to view and modify your account information, such as profile picture, nickname, and identity.
Please understand that your request may not be accepted under the following circumstances, and we will inform you of the reason therefor:
You are not the subject of the personal information or your identity as the rights holder cannot be authenticated.
Your request goes beyond the scope of your rights, or you have submitted a duplicate request.
The information retained is only shown as statistical data which cannot be matched with personal information.
Other circumstances as stipulated by laws and regulations.
② Withdrawal of consent
You may change the scope of your authorization for us to continue collecting your personal information or withdraw your authorization by going to Local > Settings > About > Privacy Policy > Disagree with Privacy Policy, or by turning off the device function, uninstalling the software, or adjusting permission settings, etc.
You can manage notifications as needed by going to Local > Settings.
Please understand that the performance of some features requires certain basic personal information. After you withdraw your consent or authorization, we will no longer be able to provide you with the related service, nor will we process your relevant personal information. However, your decision to withdraw your consent or authorization will not affect the processing of personal information previously conducted based on your authorization.
How to withdraw consent: You can choose to disable or stop using an app function to withdraw your authorization for us to collect and use your personal information required for this function. We will then stop collecting and using such information. Note that your use of the corresponding function will also be affected.
③ Account cancellation
You can cancel your vivo account at any time by going to Me > vivo Account (via the account profile picture) > Security & password > Account appeal, deactivation, and deletion, calling our customer service, visiting vivo.com to contact us via our online service agents, or sending us an email. We will verify and handle your request within 15 workdays or the limit specified by laws and regulations.
After your account is canceled, we will stop providing you with this Service, and will delete or anonymize your personal information (excluding personal information required to be retained as stipulated by laws and regulations, which will no longer be used for daily operations).
④ Obtaining a copy of personal information
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information by calling our customer service, visiting vivo.com to contact us via our online service agents, or sending us an email. You can also sign in to the vivo Privacy Center (https://privacy.vivo.com.cn/#/userManagement/) and go to "Manage vivo app data" to manage your data as instructed.
Where technically possible, we can send a copy of your personal information directly to the specified third party upon your request.
(13) Updates to this Privacy Policy
vivo shall reserve the right to update or modify this Policy from time to time. Once the terms of this Privacy Policy are changed, vivo shall display the updated version on relevant pages. If changes to the terms have a significant impact on your interests, we will notify you in a prominent manner or re-obtain your authorization.
(14) Disclaimer
This Privacy Policy has stated the standards for vivo's protection of your private data. vivo shall strictly follow such standards and take all appropriate and feasible measures to protect your personal information and data. However, please be aware and understand that vivo is unable to control all factors or how third parties collect and use your information and data, nor can any measures be completely infallible. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your data and information will not be disclosed under any circumstances. In addition, during your use of third-party services, their providers may collect and use your information and data as required to implement corresponding features. Before using any third-party apps, please read their privacy policies carefully and share your personal information and data with caution. We do not make any warranties regarding the collection and/or use of your information and data by any third party, and we do not assume any responsibility for the disclosure of your information and data which is not attributed to vivo.
Please note that the health plans provided by vivo are for reference only. For any conditions that may affect the implementation of a health plan, for example, if you have a medical condition or are on long-term medication, you shall make your own assessment based on your health and, if necessary, follow the guidance of your doctor or other medical personnel. Any plan provided by vivo is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or advice, and vivo will not provide any medical diagnosis or advice. Please be rational. In the event that you misjudge your health or vivo's plan, you shall bear the consequences thereof, and vivo shall make no warranties of any kind and assume no responsibilities.
(15) How to contact vivo
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please call our customer service hotline at 95033, or visit vivo's official website at https://www.vivo.com to contact us via our online service agents,or send an email to privacy@vivo.com. We will reply to you with a reasonable explanation within 15 workdays after verifying your identity. We will reply to you within 15 business days or the limit specified by laws and regulations. If you are not satisfied with our reply or any dispute arises between the two parties during the handling process, you can also submit a request for dispute settlement to the Dongguan No. 2 People's Court in Guangdong, China.
Important: Due to local law and language differences, the localized version of the Privacy Policy may differ from the original version. In case of any discrepancies, the Chinese version shall prevail. By using this Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
